As you probably know one of the great economists of our time, Milton Friedman, died a few weeks ago. Not only did we lose a great economist, but also a true champion of freedom, and a free economy. As he often pointed out: government programs may often be well intentioned but their results are often in direct conflict with those intentions.
Milton Friedman was also a skillful debater and a good communicator. His television series “Free to Choose” affected a lot of people, and Idea Channel has now made it freely availible on the their website, both in its 1980 and 1990 version. I highly recommend them.
