The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs. It’s a warm and friendly book, with some good observations and insights. While perhaps slightly on the long side, it remains interesting throughout. Here is the Wikipedia article. Here is the Amazon page, with plenty of reviews. The average rating of 4+ is a tad higher than I’d give it, but I did enjoy reading it.
