Ever since our family got our first PC sometime in the 1990s, I’ve wanted to make a Real Game™. I tried brute forcing my way through QBasic, and created what must have been some obnoxiously tedious text adventures. In the early Windows days I used the graphical tools of the day (does anyone remember Klik & Play?), and I am sure I had plenty of plans for things too ambitious for my abilities.

Fast forward three decades and a few years, and a career as a decidedly non-game software developer, and I have finally made a game! Pixel Fracture is a horizontal brick-breaking game (think Arkanoid or Breakout if you have a few grey hairs), complete with a card-based progression, and a synergy-driven meta game. Clear sections, collect cards, stack multipliers, and fight bosses across procedurally generated runs!

Here’s a trailer:

You can play the game over on Itch, right in the browser (assuming you are on a computer).
